You can visit the web site www.laclusaz.com for more information on the area but the main details of the resort include the following:- There are Banks, Sports and Clothing Shops, Small Supermarkets, Butchers and Cheese shops throughout the town as well as a number of Restaurants There is parking for the ski slopes throughout the town but it does pay to park up fairly early to get the closest parking spots to the lifts. There are 56 ski lifts and 86 slopes (7 very difficult, 23 difficult, 28 fairly easy and 28 easy slopes in La Clusaz) with the normal café and restaurant on the slopes. You can also ski in Grand Bornand which is only 5 minutes drive from the Chalet. It is very easy to ski all day without having to come back to the town centre but at the end of a long day, there are some nice bars to quench your thirst in before returning to the Chalet. La Clusaz is a beautifully located large village which has retained the “French ness” that so many resorts have lost over the years. The Chalet is only 30 minutes drive from Annecy which is extremely attractive, on the edge of Lac Annecy. There is a good selection of shops and restaurants for those who want a day off from skiing. |
